What they said
Explorers David & Chloe ranked exploring stunning sites, visiting historical landmarks, and doing outdoor activities the highest on their Journee Questionnaire. For their destination, they said that they liked photogenic places, with lots of greenery and mountains.
They listed France and Spain as countries they aren’t interested in visiting on this trip, and included that they wouldn’t want to go scuba diving or canyoning.

Roughly 24 hours later, David & Chloe received a Journee Proposal that was put together from all the information they included in their Journee Questionnaire.

They loved the sound of their trip from the proposal, and decided to book. A little while (+ a packing list, weather forecast, and 8 clues) later, the big day arrived and they headed to the airport to reveal where they were going.

They were matched with Athens, the Attican countryside, and Meteora in Greece! When they landed, the adventure truly began:
Day 1
On their first day, David & Chloe arrived to a private airport transfer waiting in the arrivals hall. They didn’t want to arrange transportation right after landing, so they easily added this to their trip via their Journee Proposal before booking. They were taken to their accommodation in Athens, booked by Journee from our carefully-curated list of highly-rated properties, and checked in before having the rest of the day to freshen up and explore.
Day 2
Their proposal said
A tour of an ancient UNESCO site that will take you back in time. Your guide will share their expertise as you explore the site itself and this fascinating period of history!
On day 2, David & Chloe went on the first of their three booked experiences. If you haven’t already guessed it, we arranged a private tour of the Acropolis with a knowledgeable guide. The perfect introduction to Athens, they had the opportunity to learn more about its iconic history at the beginning of their trip.
Day 3
Their proposal said
A trip to a stunning lake nestled in greenery. You’ll have time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax in a serene setting away from the city’s hustle and bustle!
Day 3 brought another pre-booked experience, this time away from the excitement of Athens’ city centre, allowing David & Chloe to relax in nature. They were picked up from their accommodation and taken to the stunning Vouliagmenis Lake for a day of relaxation. Here, they were able to unwind in a gorgeous setting away from the city. In the afternoon, they were taken back to their accommodation for a free evening.
Day 4
The next day, they hopped on a train from Athens to Meteora with pre-booked tickets. David & Chloe asked for a faster-paced trip, so they stayed in two places while away. The scenic journey provided some time for them to relax and read up on their next base. When they arrived, they checked into their new accommodation and had some time to explore the beautiful area.
Day 5
Their proposal said
You’ll be going on a nature walk that will help you get to know and appreciate this remarkable area in many ways. Your passionate local guide will take you through the landscape sharing hidden gems, secret viewpoints, and insight into the history of this magical place.
For day 5, we planned an experience with one of our most beloved local partners: Dimitrios. Dimitrios loves to share Meteora with people from all over the world. On this experience, David & Chloe got to appreciate some of Metoera’s hidden gems, its incredible natural world, and witness a stunning sunset reflected across the region’s famous cliffs and monasteries.
Day 6
On day 6, they said goodbye to Meteora and hopped on a train back to Athens for the last night of their trip.
Day 7
They had the majority of day 7 to explore at their own pace and take it all in one last time before heading back to the airport for a 7:45pm departure.
